📦 Freight Shipping Policy – Large Items

Thank you for your order! Please take a moment to review the information below to help avoid any delivery issues or misunderstandings related to large or freight-shipped items.

What Is Freight Shipping?

Some items are too large or heavy to ship via standard carriers like UPS or FedEx and must be delivered via truck freight (LTL). These items typically arrive on pallets and require Curbside Delivery, meaning the shipment will be delivered to the end of your driveway.

Delivery drivers are not required to bring items into your home, up stairs, or provide assembly unless a White Glove delivery is arranged in advance.

What to Expect

  • You will be contacted by the freight carrier to schedule a delivery appointment.

  • Deliveries are usually made Monday–Friday, during business hours.

  • A delivery window (typically 2–4 hours) will be provided.

  • If no one is available to receive the delivery, a re-delivery fee may apply.

Delivery Vehicle Responsibility

Freight is delivered using 18-wheel or 26’ delivery trucks. If your location has restricted access (e.g., gated community, narrow street, gravel road), you must notify us at checkout or immediately after placing your order.

Failed deliveries due to access limitations will incur re-delivery or return freight fees.

Customer Responsibilities at Delivery

  • You or your designated representative must be present at the delivery address to inspect and sign for the shipment.

  • Inspect the box and pallet before signing the delivery slip.

  • If there is visible damage to the box or packaging:

    • Clearly write “PRODUCT DAMAGED” or “PENDING INSPECTION” on the delivery receipt.

    • Take clear photos of all packaging and damage.

NOTE: Signing a clean Bill of Lading (delivery slip) without noting damage waives your right to a freight damage claim.

Concealed Damage

If you discover internal or concealed damage after delivery:

  • Email info@bellaoutdoorsusa.com within 48 hours of delivery.

  • Include:

    • Order number

    • Detailed description of the damage (Structural Damage and does not include cosmetic concerns that can be resolved with touch up paint). 

    • Photos of the box, item, and all affected areas

Claims received after 48 hours may not be eligible for resolution due to shipping insurance policies so please contact us within 48 hours. 

Missed Deliveries & Fees

The following fees may apply if freight is undeliverable and is determined by the shipping carrier: 

  • Re-delivery Fee: $100 – $350

  • Storage Fee: $75 – $150 per day after missed appointment

Final Sale Items

Freight-shipped items are non-returnable unless damaged or incorrect upon delivery. We encourage customers to measure access areas (including hallways, doorways, elevators) to ensure successful delivery.

  • Contact us within 48 hrs for concealed damage

  • Be home and reachable on scheduled day

  • All freight orders are final sale unless structurally damaged
