Freight Shipping Information for Oversized/Large/Heavy Items:
Some items we sell are too large or too heavy to ship using a Small Parcel carrier such as UPS/ FedEx. Therefore, our best option is to ship it to you using a common carrier. Truck freight is different than standard UPS, FedEx or US Mail in that you will be responsible for carrying the product from the delivery truck into your house.
Bella Outdoors Free Shipping Offer for freight is Curbside Delivery.
The service is just as the name implies the delivery will be dropped off by the truck at the end of the driveway. For liability reasons, delivery drivers are not required to bring the product to or into your house. Curbside deliveries require you to bring the item into your house yourself. The driver will not go up stairs or elevators and will not assemble anything unless you specifically contract with us for an upgraded service. If you ask the driver to bring your product into your home, and we are invoiced for that extra service, we will charge you the exact amount that the additional service cost us. If no one is home when we attempt to deliver per the scheduled date and time, you will be charged a re-delivery fee.
Bella Outdoors USA cannot be responsible if conditions beyond our control arise which prevent the delivery from being made at the scheduled time. Any item that is delivered by this service should be checked thoroughly for any damage to the carton and if any damage is seen, must be noted on the delivery paperwork at the time of delivery.
The contents of the box must be examined as quickly as possible, but no longer than 48 hours after delivery. If there is any concealed damage on the contents of the carton, this must be reported within 48 hours to Bella Outdoors USA.
The standard delivery vehicle is an 18 wheel tractor or 26' delivery truck. It is the consumer's responsibility to inform us prior to delivery if the location to be delivered cannot accept a specific delivery vehicle. Deliveries that cannot be made due to vehicle size or access restriction will be billed as delivered. If a delivery is possible with another vehicle, re-delivery will be made and an additional delivery fee will be charged.
If you have ordered a large furniture item, you should be prepared for a vehicle of considerable size arriving at your residence. If you think there may be a problem with shipping access, please notify us when you place your order. You, or someone acting on your behalf, must be at the shipment address to receive and sign for the delivery.
Truck Freight also differs from Small Parcel in that, for residential deliveries, you will be contacted by the shipping carrier to schedule a delivery appointment. Most companies offer appointment windows (usually 2-4 hours) between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm EST, Monday through Friday. This delivery method is the fastest delivery option. Normal shipping transit day is up to 7 business days.
The most important thing to remember about truck freight is that you must inspect the package at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason for you to be at all concerned about damage, please write ""PRODUCT DAMAGED"" clearly on the sheet that they ask you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem.
If you sign a clean Bill of Lading/Proof of Delivery then Bella Outdoors USA cannot accept any returns related to damages later on. Please do not sign until you are satisfied with the item and there is no damage.
If driver is in a hurry and you are not able to inspect item, you can notate "Pending Further Investigation" or "Suspect Damage" before signing.
Customer Responsibility During Freight Delivery
- Missed appointments will have re-delivery fees, or storage fees will be charged.
- Re-delivery fees range from $100 to $250
- Storage fees range from $25 to $75 per day
- Unreachable contact information will result in the item being returned to the warehouse and a redelivery fee will be assessed.
- If an item is confirmed not damaged and a re-delivery can be made but still refused, the return would be processed as a standard return.
- Any issues (holes, crushed corners, dents, worn tops, bottoms or edges, scraping, dirt etc.) must be noted on the delivery slip.
- Freight items are to be inspected thoroughly before signing a release.
- Items being held for any reason (commercial project, move, storage, etc.) still need to be inspected.
- Issues must be noted in order to receive a refund or replacement.
- Detailed pictures and a notice of refusal must be emailed within 48 hrs of refusal.
- A customer’s agent (family member or friend) may inspect/sign for the item if they are at the residence - an agent's inspection and signature is considered the same as the customer
All products are new and Bella Outdoors USA warranties that goods delivered will meet the manufacturers warranty standards. From time to time, shipping damage may occur. It is the responsibility of the customer to thoroughly inspect all items at the time of delivery. If your product arrives damaged, it will be the responsibility of Bella Outdoors USA, the Delivery Agent and/or the manufacturer to repair or replace the damaged goods. Bella Outdoors USA and the Delivery Agent reserve the right to repair any damages.
Right to Change Agreement
Bella Outdoors USA shall have the right, at its sole discretion, to modify, add or remove any terms or conditions of these Return Policy without notice or liability to you. Any changes to this Terms and Conditions Agreement shall be effective immediately following the posting of such changes on this web site. The most recent version of these Terms and Conditions Agreement may always be found on bellaoutdoorsusa.com web site. You agree to review these Terms and Conditions Agreement from time to time and agree that any subsequent use by you of this web site following changes to these Terms and Conditions Agreement shall constitute your acceptance of all such changes.
